PATRON

AKIN ODUNTAN

@akinoduntan, (on Instagram). He is a renowned Community Leader, an Entrepreneur, Politician, Mentor, Motivator, Facilitator and expert in Health and Safety management practices. He graduated with a degree in Pharmacology/Physiology from one of the foremost universities in Nigeria, University of Lagos and later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology in Canada.

With over 30 years of leadership experience and management practices, he has been engaged in various areas of both private and government sectors.

Akin serves as a Special Assistant and Advisor to Member of Parliament in the Canadian Parliament. He is well knowledgeable in government and parastal policies, regulations and sound in decision making, proactive initiatives.

Akin is:

3. Board member, Roots Community Services.

5. Awards winning recipient

He is a co-organizer and convener of a prominent and amazing event called,
Crossroads of Culture which futured Flavours of Nigeria. He personally and strategically invited the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, who graced the event with his presence.

Diana Alli D’Souza

@allidsouza (on Instagram) is a distinguished educator, community leader, and advocate for empowerment, inclusion, and opportunity for marginalized and underrepresented communities, especially BIPOC communities, including girls and women. Shaped by a global journey from Mumbai to the United Kingdom, Guyana, and Canada, she has devoted her life to advancing education, equity, interfaith collaboration, and social responsibility.

Over a 38-year career at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine, Diana held senior leadership roles in Student Life, Service Learning, Community Partnerships, Admissions, Awards, and Diversity. She founded and co-founded nearly two dozen outreach initiatives supporting marginalized communities across the Greater Toronto Area, including mentoring and tutoring at-risk students, addressing homelessness and social isolation, and helping create pathways for Black and Indigenous students pursuing professional careers, particularly in the health sciences.

Her interfaith leadership includes work through One Voice in Toronto, in collaboration with the National Council of Jewish Women of Canada–Toronto, multifaith women leaders, and an imam, to address violence against women, alongside broader interfaith efforts advancing poverty reduction and social justice. Through the University of Toronto International Health Program and Medical Society, she also spearheaded benefit concerts such as Earthtones and Rhythms and Dance, raising tens of thousands of dollars for children worldwide, and helped deliver medical textbooks to underserved communities globally and to Indigenous communities in Ontario. Diana has served on the University of Toronto Governing Council, university task forces and committees, and boards including the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (Canada), WoodGreen Community Council, and the Toronto Area Interfaith Council. She has also contributed as a volunteer and collaborator with partners across municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government.

FOUNDER/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

ADAORA IGBO

Adaora Igbo is a Nigerian-born entrepreneur, business coach, and women’s empowerment advocate now based in Canada. She is a proud single mother of four boys, whose journey of resilience, courage, and reinvention continues to inspire the work she does today.

With over 10 years of business experience, Adaora is the founder of Cagzin Hair and has coached over 200 women, helping them build profitable businesses and gain financial independence.

Her passion for empowering women began at just 18 years old and has only grown stronger over the years. From mentoring women in Nigeria to creating opportunities and support systems for women in Canada, Adaora has remained deeply committed to helping women rise, thrive, and succeed.

She is the Founder and Executive Director of Women in Canada Empowerment Initiatives (WICEI), a growing movement dedicated to equipping women with the tools, community, and confidence they need to win in both life and business.

Through her work, Adaora is not just building businesses—she is building a powerful community of empowered women who are supported, seen, and unstoppable.
